Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

Introduction

Welcome to Dreamwork. These Terms of Use and Privacy Policy govern your use of our application and services. By accessing or using our app, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not use our app.

Definitions

“App”
refers to the Dreamwork app, available at app.dreamwork.coach
“User”
refers to any individual who accesses or uses the App
“Content”
refers to dream entries, analysis results, and any other information processed through the App
“Services”
refers to dream analysis, reflection, and related features offered through the App

User Accounts

  1. Users must create an account to use certain features of the App.
  2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  3. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  4. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  5. Users must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use the Services.

Use of Services

  1. The App supports dream reflection and analysis based on Jungian psychology principles.
  2. Analysis results are for informational and reflective purposes only.
  3. The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
  4. Users should not rely on the App as a substitute for professional psychological or medical advice, and the App is not a substitute for therapy.
  5. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.

Subscriptions and Payments

  1. Some features of the App require a paid subscription. Current pricing and billing terms are shown in the App at the point of purchase.
  2. Payments are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card details on our own systems.
  3. Billing information you provide to Stripe is handled in accordance with Stripe’s own privacy policy.
  4. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, and your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

AI Processing

  1. The App uses third-party AI models to generate dream analyses and reflections. When you submit a dream, the relevant text is sent to our AI model provider to generate the response.
  2. Your dream content is used only to provide the Services to you. It is never used to train AI models, by us or by our providers.
  3. AI-generated responses are reflections and prompts for your own meaning-making. They can be incomplete or inaccurate, and they are not authoritative interpretations of your dreams.

User Content

  1. Users retain ownership of their Content submitted to the App.
  2. By submitting Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, and process that Content for the purpose of providing our Services to you.
  3. You are solely responsible for the Content you submit, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness.

Privacy Policy

  1. Information Collection:
    1. We collect personal information including but not limited to: name, email address, and dream content.
    2. We collect anonymised usage data such as app interactions, features used, and time spent on the App.
    3. This analytics data shows how and when the App is used and where it breaks: which screens people reach, which steps they abandon, and what errors occur. It exists so the App can be improved based on what actually happens rather than on guesswork.
    4. It never says who you are and never includes what you write. Usage is recorded against an anonymous account reference, never your name or email address, and it never carries the contents of your dreams, associations, answers or reflections. Nobody reading this data can tell whose it is or what was written.
  2. Information Use:
    1. Personal information is used to provide and improve our Services.
    2. Dream content is only used for analysis to provide Services to you and never to train AI.
    3. We may use anonymised usage data to improve our Services.
  3. Information Sharing:
    1. We do not sell personal information to third parties.
    2. We share information with service providers only as needed to run the App: our hosting platform, our AI model provider (to generate your analyses), Stripe (to process payments), and PostHog (to understand anonymised usage of the App and this site).
    3. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
  4. Data Security:
    1. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information.
    2. Despite our efforts, no internet transmission is completely secure.
  5. Data Retention:
    1. We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our Services.
    2. You can delete individual dreams from within the App at any time. You can also delete your account and all associated data yourself from the App’s settings, or request deletion by contacting us at the address below.

Intellectual Property

  1. The App, including its design, features, and content created by us, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
  2. Our name, logo, and all related names, logos, product names, and designs are our trademarks.
  3. You may not use our trademarks without our prior written consent.

Limitations of Liability

  1. The App and Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
  2. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  3. Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the six months prior to the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless our company, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

Changes to Terms

  1. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time.
  2. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the App.
  3. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales (Australia), without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
